IMO International Day for Women in Maritime 2026

The South East Australia Branch of The Nautical Institute is proud to co-host an event with WISTA Australia, Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) and Australasian Marine Pilots Institute (AMPI) to celebrate IMO International Day for Women in Maritime 2026.

This collaborative industry event will bring the maritime community together to recognise the contribution of women across our sector, and reinforce the importance of safe, inclusive and supportive workplaces. It will be an insightful and engaging day focused on advancing gender equity and fostering a culture of diversity and respect in maritime.

Outline of the Day:

  • 10:45 – Arrival; tea and coffee
  • 11:15 – Formal program commences
  • 12:30 – Working lunch
  • 16:00 – Formal program concludes
  • 16:30 to 18:30 – Free networking event, including drinks and canapés at Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant (a short five-minute walk from the City Beach Events Centre).

 

This is a free, in-person event open to all and made possible through generous industry support.
