Early Career Seafarer Conference Series
Leadership, Human Factors and Professional Identity
Stepping on board for the first time brings new responsibilities, expectations, and challenges.
This conference is designed specifically for cadets and early‑career seafarers who are transitioning from training into operational roles. Building on prior workshop learning, it provides a space to reflect, discuss, and deepen understanding of what professionalism, leadership, and responsibility really mean at sea. Through expert‑led discussions, real‑world scenarios, and peer exchange, participants will gain confidence in their role, strengthen their professional identity, and develop the behaviours that underpin safe and effective performance from day one.

Date: November 2026
Time: 09:00 – 17:30 (plus reception following on from conference)
