The Italy Branch of The Nautical Institute is delighted to host its official launch event in Sorrento on 19 June.

This full-day gathering will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, representatives from maritime training centres and sector associations to discuss two closely interconnected priorities for the maritime sector: the energy transition within the maritime industry, and the education and training of maritime professionals, students and cadets.

Discussions will focus on the challenges and opportunities arising from decarbonisation, the adoption of new technologies and alternative fuels, and the development of skills, competencies and educational frameworks required by maritime training centers, academies and institutions to support these transformations within the industry.
