31st International Maritime Lecturers Association Conference IMLA31
Organised by the École Nationale Supérieure Maritime, will take place in Le Havre, France from 27–30 October 2026. Bringing together maritime educators, researchers, and industry professionals from around the world, the conference aims to foster collaboration and advance expertise across all areas of maritime education and training.
Under the theme “The Revised STCW and the Future of Maritime Education and Training,” IMLA31 will explore key developments shaping the sector, including artificial intelligence, simulator-based learning, evolving officer training, and human factors such as communication and inclusivity. The programme will feature a range of formats, including academic papers, workshops, and panel discussions, alongside contributions from IMLA’s specialist groups focused on navigation, engine room simulation, and maritime English.
Designed as a platform for knowledge exchange and professional networking, the conference will address current challenges and innovations in maritime education, safety, policy, and technology, offering participants a valuable opportunity to engage with global experts and contribute to the future of the maritime industry.
