Mexico Branch Launch

The Mexico Branch of The Nautical Institute is delighted to host its official launch event online on Friday 24 April.

All members are warmly invited to join this celebration, to participate in the discussions, and to lend their support to the Branch's upcoming events, outreach and other future activities.

Also attending will be representatives from the Mexican merchant marine, regulators, industry leaders, cadets and other stakeholders.

The programme will cover a mix of contemporary technical areas:

1. Welcome and opening remarks from the Branch Chair and the Immediate Past President of The Nautical Institute, Capt Andre LeGoubin MNM MA FNI
2. An overview of The Nautical Institute and its impact in Mexico
3. Introduction to Branch Committee members
4. Maritime education in Mexico: Strengths and challenges
5. Supporting maritime students: Practical contributions to student development and industry exposure
6. Mentoring at sea: The importance of on board mentoring and maintaining a professional culture
7. CPD for maritime professionals: Lifelong learning and adapting to industry evolution
8. Women Offshore: Opportunities for collaboration and inclusion across the Mexican maritime sector
9. Summary and overview of future Branch plans
10. Q&A and closing remarks
