Technical Seminar - Post-Incident Investigation & Legal Process

26 Oct 2023 02:30PM - 10:30PM Radisson Blu Hotel, Liverpool, UK Branch UK/North West England & North Wales

This seminar builds on the event at Fleetwood in May 2023 which focussed on the immediate operational, statutory, legal and commercial steps following a maritime casualty.
Today’s seminar will be chaired by a maritime barrister, ably assisted by a panel of industry leaders representing owners, operators, insurers, lawyers and technical experts. It will extend the casualty timeline and explore potential claim submissions, defence and counter claims, expert opinion reports and the legal aspects of this complicated and timeconsuming process. We will also discuss the responsibilities of, and expectations on, a ship’s crew who may be involved.
