The undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technology in Oman, visits The Nautical Institute

His Excellency Khamis Al Shamakhi, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technology in Oman, visited The Nautical Institute on Tuesday 7 July.

During the visit Captain John Lloyd FNI, our Chief Executive, outlined the global presence and charitable work of our Institute, before some more detailed presentations on our academy, publications, and our research activities. Each was accompanied by discussions on matters of mutual interest.

His Excellency was accompanied by:

  • Mr. Mohammed Al Rawahi (DG of Maritime Affairs- MTCIT)
  • Capt. Abdullah Al Zeedi ( Deputy Head of Maritime Security centre)
  • Cdr. Ahmed Hamed Al-Yahmadi (Head of Oman National Hydrographic Office)
  • Capt. Khalil Al Hooti (Vice President Marine - ASYAD SHIPPING)
  • Capt. Nooh Al Subhi (Director of Navigation and Maritime Safety- MTCIT)
  • Ms. Asila Ali Alhinaai (Logistics Operations Specialist- MTCIT)
