The Nautical Institute hosts Maritime Attachés during HTW week
The IMO is in session this week, hosting the sub-Committee on Human element, Training and Watchkeeping.
Reinforcing our global role in the provision of professionalism, competence and the importance of maintaining high standards in a rapidly evolving maritime sector, The Nautical Institute was honoured to host this morning’s coffee session for the Maritime Attachés and delegates from over 150 maritime nations.
Our team seized this opportunity to highlight our global branch network which sees members of The Nautical Institute gather regularly in over 50 countries, providing seafarers with outstanding professional collaboration opportunities as well as a superb network of maritime professionals.
We discussed our ongoing collaborative research with LRF on the real-world impact of technology on seafarers at sea and ashore (STEER Project) and why The Nautical Institute is the perfect partner of choice for evidence-based maritime research that involves seafarers.
Focusing on professionalism, competence and the importance of maintaining high standards in a rapidly evolving maritime sector we shared updates on our publications and practical guides as well as our many courses that support continuous professional development.
The Nautical institute remains honoured to be an accredited NGO with consultative status at the IMO, where we continue to advocate on behalf of all our members for a safer, more sustainable maritime industry.
