New branch in Montenegro!

11 Sep 2025 Institute News

We are proud to announce the launch of our new branch in Montenegro, taking place in the historic port city of Kotor, a hub of maritime tradition and regional cruise operations.

The branch will bring us closer to our members in this vibrant region and will allow us to further support and connect maritime professionals from the area with our global network .

Our branch in Montenegro has already developed an engagement strategy fully aligned with our mission and vision, ensuring it serves members, stakeholders, and the next generation of seafarers. From the Port of Kotor to the Ports of Bar, Budva and elsewhere, the branch will become a hub for professional development, collaboration and knowledge sharing among maritime professionals, government representatives and academia.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and passion of our volunteer members, whose commitment to advancing professionalism, safety and sharing experiences is at the heart of our activities

Montenegro holds great potential across a range of sectors within maritime, as well as in training and inspiring the next generation of maritime professionals who will shape the future of our industry.

We look forward to building a thriving community that supports safety, sustainability and professional excellence in the region.

Our President Captain Trevor Bailey MNM CMMar FNI will attend the launch event.
