There was a slight swell running whilst the port lifeboat was being recovered causing the boat to swing out and back in again. Despite all crew having been instructed no less than 6 times to keep their hands inside the boat, one of them attempted to fend the boat off of the hull. His finger was trapped between the boat and the hull and was crushed. He received First Aid treatment and was later taken to hospital where it was ascertained that no bones were broken.
