5th Global Dynamic Positioning and Offshore Energy Conference
Lerus Training: Headline sponsor of the 5th Global Dynamic Positioning and Offshore Energy Conference
The Nautical Institute is proud to announce Lerus Training as the headline sponsor of the 5th Global Dynamic Positioning and Offshore Energy Conference, which we will host in Istanbul, Türkiye, on 24–25 September 2025.
This annual global event brings together leading training providers, technical experts and stakeholders in dynamic positioning (DP) to shape the future of safe and effective offshore operations.
As an accredited training provider for The Nautical Institute offering dynamic positioning operator (DPO) and DP vessel maintainer (DPVM) CPD programmes, Lerus shares our commitment to high safety standards, competence, certification consistency and continuous professional development in the DP sector.
“Having built my career from oiler to chief engineer in the offshore sector,” says Ruslan Gromovenko, founder and CEO of Lerus Training, “I understand firsthand the critical role competence plays in ensuring safety and efficiency. At Lerus, we believe that training alone is not enough; regular, practical competence assessment is essential to prepare personnel for the realities of offshore operations.”
This shared focus on practical, performance-based training is central to both organisations. The Nautical Institute, as administrator of the global DP certification scheme, collaborates closely with industry-leading organisations through the Dynamic Positioning Training Executive Group (DPTEG), a body dedicated to ensuring the scheme remains fit-for-purpose, agile and aligned with the fast-changing needs of the industry. Lerus reinforces this mission by delivering advanced simulator-based training led by industry-experienced trainers across its international network.
As DP operations grow increasingly complex, supporting offshore renewables, subsea construction and advanced drilling, the importance of reliable, standardised training and certification cannot be overstated. Our Head of Qualifications Marine and Offshore, Qasim Masood MSc AFNI MRINA says: “Our accredited training centres around the world demonstrate the kind of forward-thinking practices we need to ensure the DP scheme continues to reflect real-world operational challenges while maintaining the highest safety standards.”
It is events like the 5th Global Dynamic Positioning and Offshore Energy Conference organised by The Nautical Institute that bring together global expertise aiming to advance a shared vision: a safer, more competent DP workforce supporting the ever-evolving maritime sector.
