HE00325 - Review of safety management systems
The continued success of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code is dependent upon the maritime industry seeking to continuously improve our understanding of the strengths and limitations of safety management systems (SMS).
To do so we need not only to examine and assess the implementation of the ISM Code to date but, importantly, we need also to review and assess the implementation of SMS in other safety related industries as part of a pro-active safety culture.
