STS Operational Risks and Legal Considerations

The Panama Branch of The Nautical Institute is pleased to host its next seminar on STS operations at the Maritime Courts of Appeal (and online) on 24 April.

This is an opportunity for members to address maritime legal experts with a number of technical questions around these complex maritime operations, including:

  • How do crews prepare for STS operations?
  • What are the risks involved, and how are they mitigated against?
  • What are the expectations on the Master before and during the operations?
  • Is the ISM Code actually working to prevent accidents?
