The NW England & N Wales Branch of The Nautical Institute is pleased to announce it will be hosting its Annual Seminar & Dinner in Liverpool on 23 October.

On the theme of 'Shipboard Firefighting in the 21st Century', this year's seminar will explore several related topics - all using typical shipboard scenarios and case studies:

  • The dangers and difficulties of firefighting modern cargoes using ships’ crews and firefighting tugs
  • Current shipboard firefighting training, equipment and installations - and what needs to change
  • The challenges to seafarers in using their safety equipment
  • Making sense of the latest evidence (as given by current maritime and firefighting experts).

 

NB This is an in-person only event, and places will be limited.
