Just to add to the confusion about the orders for multiple shaft vessels. In the Royal Naval Diesel submarine force, now no longer, we always referred to propulsion movements as:

Stop together / slow ahead together / half ahead together / full ahead together / slow astern together etc.

This was not replicated in the naval surface fleet who always use slow ahead both engines / half ahead both engines etc.
