You are warmly invited to join The Nautical Institute at its Technical Seminar and AGM 2018, hosted by the Institute's Malta Branch at the Cavalieri Art Hotel, Malta

This international gathering of members and other industry professionals will discuss measures to improve safe operations and loss prevention, minimise costs and maximise returns. Topics will include:

  • Superyacht operation – a professional approach
  • Best practice for mariners dealing with refugees
  • The impact of increasing automation

Speakers will include industry leaders, front line practitioners and younger generation professionals. Hear from, among others, Frank Coles of Transas, Admiral Credendino of the Italian Coastguard, Peter Hinchliffe of the International Chamber of Shipping and superyacht specialist Captain Adrian Croft.

Results of the deliberations and recommendations for best practice will be published and used to inform the work of the Institute. Where appropriate, this will be presented to bodies such as the International Maritime Organization through the consultative status of The Nautical Institute. Past AGM seminars in London, Aberdeen, San Francisco and Sydney were all well attended and highly successful in this ambition.

A gala dinner will follow The Nautical Institute AGM (on Wednesday, 23 May) at the Malta Maritime Museum. Limited places available.
