The Nautical Institute Management Scheme is an open learning scheme divided into eight modules approved by the Management Charter Initiative. These are:
- Setting Objectives and Planning,
- Controlling,
- Solving Problems and Making Decisions,
- Leading and Motivating Staff,
- Delegating,
- Managing Time,
- Running Effective Meetings - and
- Coaching Others.
The completion of six of the modules with a pass mark on assessment of more than 60% entitles the candidate to a Diploma in Personal Effectiveness.
The fee for each of the modules plus the assessment marking is £50.00 for members and £71.43 for non-members
