Activities in the London Branch

Activities:

Summer Social 2010 : Unfortunately, despite it being midsummer, the weather was more reminiscent of midwinter. - wet and windy. However, the good news
was an upgrade from the open-sided "Jenny Wren" to the fully enclosed "My Fair Lady", so all members and guests enjoyed a dry (weather) evening cruise
on the Regent's Canal. Leaving Camden Basin, we entered the Canal through Camden Lock and travelled along the most picturesque stretch of the Regent’s Canal,
sailing past London Zoo, through Regent’s Park, and into the Maida Vale tunnel to Little Venice and Paddington Basin, and reversing the route back to Camden.

Southwark Sea Cadets: Funds raised at the Annual Dinner 2009 were donated to Southwark Sea Cadets to help finance inner city cadets
to participate in voyages on board T.S. Royalist. Two cadets made a voyage from 4-10 April 2009 using part of the funding.
