The Nautical Institute is encouraging the reporting of situations that have resulted in fatigue. The objective is to make these reports publicly available via this website so that all those dealing with this issue may better understand the reality of the situation onboard ships around the world. They are not meant to apportion blame but rather to provide illustrative accounts of onboard environments as they exist today.
The reports are, therefore, ‘hypothetical’ and confidential.
Reports can be submitted to fatigue@nautinst.org or filed anonymously via our web-based reporting form, or sent by post to
