‘The Command Team and the DP
– Expectations, training, qualifications and competence’
The Nautical Institute, in conjunction with its branch network and in partnership with the International Federation of Ship Masters’ Associations (IFSMA), the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), the Corporation of Trinity House and the Honourable Company of Master Mariners (HCMM), is pleased to announce the 2008 series of International Command Seminars exploring the relationship between the Designated Person (DP), the command team afloat and the rest of the industry.

The seminars will be held in four worldwide locations:

  • Antwerp – 12-13 June – incorporating the Institute’s 2008 AGM & Dinner
  • Panama - early September
  • Glasgow – early October
  • Hong Kong – early November

Invitation to Sponsors – Call for Papers
Companies wishing to sponsor the series or a single seminar will be very welcome and should request details of the packages available from Philip Wake at NI HQ - cpw@nautinst.org

Those interested in speaking at any of these seminars are invited to submit a synopsis of their paper to NI HQ (cpw@nautinst.org) indicating which location(s) you wish to speak at.
